Intended Use

Reticulum stain is intended for histology reticulum staining.

Principle

Ammoniacal Silver solution was adsorbed by tissue, and combined with the protein within the tissue, via formaldehyde reduction into black metallic silver deposited on the surface and inside of tissue. After toning with gold chloride, and then sodium thiosulfate solution wash the unreduced silver, thus the reticulum within the tissue clearly displayed.
