Intended Use
BASO MIF (Merthiolate-Iodine-Formaldehyde) stain is intended for simultaneous fixation and staining of protozoan cysts, helminthic eggs and larvae.
Principles
Merthiolate-Iodine-Formaldehyde ( MIF ) solution enables fixing (with formaldehyde) of protozoa and their staining with two coloring agents (iodine and eosin). Stool preservation and staining can be accomplished simultaneously with this kit.
